Université popular de Caen
The Université populaire de Caen , founded by Michel Onfray in 2002, works on the principle of open and free access. There are no registrations, exams or diplomas.
Similar folk universities were founded in Lyon (2005) and Grenoble (2007). Michel Onfray's approach aims to democratize culture.
