Uno Kōji
Uno Kōji ( Japanese 宇 野 浩 二 , actually: Uno Kōjirō ( 宇 野 格 次郎 ); * July 26, 1891 in Fukuoka , Fukuoka Prefecture ; † September 21, 1961 ) was a Japanese writer .
Uno studied English literature at Waseda University and made his debut in 1913 with the collection of stories Seijirō yume o miru ko ( 清 二郎 夢見 る 子 , "Sejiro, the child who dreams"). In 1919 the novel Kura no naka ( 蔵 の 中 , "In the warehouse") followed. In 1951 he received the Yomiuri Literature Prize for Omoikawa ( 思 ひ 川 , "River of Thoughts") . Uno was friends with Akutagawa Ryūnosuke and Hirotsu Kazuo and was one of the early patrons of Minakami Tsutomu .
