action

A mirror hanging on the wall shows various people who want and have to look into it. This includes clowns, muscle men, men and women in love, children who make faxes and none of them want to do without him. Finally, he shows a picture of the workshop in which it was made.

It is a mirror covering workshop where Manuela Hinkmann, her husband Michael and Manuela's father, the master , work. His father had already practiced this profession. Michael wants to show how a normal pane of glass can be turned into a mirror and places one on the work table on which a template is already lying. Now the master cuts the pane with a glass cutter according to the pattern. In order to avoid cuts, the interfaces are now sanded smooth with a damp cloth and then the pane is dried. The still greasy surface now has to be cleaned with polishing white, which Michael doesn't like to do. And the window always has to be washed. Now it's time to make a mirror out of the pane, so Michael pours an undisclosed liquid over the pane. This process is called "documenting". So that the mirror is almost finished and so that it does not go blind again, it is coated with top coat. The mirror is now ready, so:

"You can't do without mirrors, so hold them in high esteem, because life is only beautiful when you can see yourself in the mirror."
