Sub-authority

In the German multi-level authority structure of the highest, upper, middle and lower authority, a sub-authority is the federal or state authority at the end of the hierarchy line.

It is generally responsible in the local catchment area and subordinated to an intermediate authority in the three-tier authority structure. In the two-stage authority structure, it is directly subordinate to a top authority.

Since the execution of laws is usually the responsibility of the federal states, there are only a few sub-authorities in the area of ​​federal administration.

Lower federal authorities are:
