Unterknöringen
Unterknöringen is a district with 747 inhabitants (as of 2015) in the city of Burgau in the Swabian district of Günzburg ( Bavaria ). As a result of the Bavarian regional reform , the previously independent municipality of Unterknöringen was incorporated into Burgau with Großanhausen and Kleinanhausen on May 1, 1978 .
The parish village is two kilometers west of Burgau and can be reached via State Road 2024 .
history
Unterknöringen is mentioned for the first time around 1140 in connection with a taxation by the royal ministerial Konrad von Wallerstein.
The Knöringen family sold the place to the realm of Wettenhausen in 1671 . Via other owners in the meantime, the place came to Johann Christof Freiherr von Freyberg zu Hürbel-Haldenwang in 1750, whose family still owns the castle in Unterknöringen today.
