Großanhausen

Großanhausen is a district with 129 inhabitants (as of 2015) in the city of Burgau in the Swabian district of Günzburg ( Bavaria ). As a result of the Bavarian territorial reform , the previously independent community of Unterknöringen with Großanhausen (until 1865 Groß- and Kleinanhausen , on July 1, 1970, incorporated to Unterknöringen) was incorporated into Burgau on May 1, 1978 .

The church village , four kilometers west of Burgau, can be reached via federal highway 10 .

history

Roman finds in the Großanhausen area testify to the early settlement of the Kammeltal .

In 1207 Rudolf de Ahusen donated a Mansus in Anhausen to Wettenhausen Monastery with the help of his brother Bruno von Burgau . In 1438 the place came with the church and church set to the Wettenhausen monastery, where it remained until secularization .
