Unterpfaffenhofen is a district of the Upper Bavarian town of Germering in the Fürstenfeldbruck district .
The parish village is about two kilometers from the Munich-Freiham-Mitte junction of the A 99 .
history
Unterpfaffenhofen was called Pfaffenhofen am Parsberg until the 19th century and was renamed to distinguish it from Hohenpfaffenhofen, which is now called Oberpfaffenhofen .
On July 1, 1903, the Royal Bavarian State Railways opened the Pasing – Herrsching line with the Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering station . The station has been served by the Munich S-Bahn since 1972 and has been called Germering-Unterpfaffenhofen since 1992 .
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Unterpfaffenhofen was merged with Germering to form one community.
