The A-road A6003 road through Uppingham and connects the place with Oakham in the north and Corby and Kettering in the south. At the northern end of the village, the A6003 crosses the A47 road (west to Leicester , east to Peterborough , Wisbech , King's Lynn , Norwich , Great Yarmouth ).

There is a parish partnership with the French municipality of Caudebec-en-Caux in Normandy .
