Urban Assault (Original Title: TKO ) is an American martial arts film directed by Declan Mulvey from 2007.

action

Mick and Martin have been bitter opponents since a competition a few years ago in which both sustained serious injuries. Together they organize an annual illegal martial arts event for their boss Warren, which is only known in the city as "The Tournament". This year, her boss explains that the loser of the event will have to leave town. Both should choose fighters and let them compete against each other.

Martin, a corrupt police officer, has Mouse, the brother of Zendo, runner-up last year, executed and spreads the rumor that his opponent Mick was responsible. Zendo seeks out Riggs, last year's winner, and breaks both of his arms. This is not enough for Martin and he executes Riggs. As a fighter, he chooses the criminal Vicious, a gunman , and frees him from jail.

Meanwhile, Mick Skyler, the boss's daughter, is put aside. Desperately looking for a fighter, he believes he has found him in an FBI agent who is hunting Vicious. But in the fight he is linked and Vicious kills his opponent. Desperate Mick decides to step into the ring himself when suddenly Zendo appears. In the meantime he has discovered Martin's wrong game and offers himself as a fighter.

Zendo quickly gains the upper hand, but Martin kidnaps Skyler and puts him under pressure. However, Mick manages to free Skyler so that Zendo can win his fight. Warren then has Martin executed. Skyler and Mick withdraw from the competition business.

criticism

Urban Assault is a typical B-film in the style of Bloodsport and the best-of-the-best film series, which cannot set any new accents.

"Underexposed martial arts film that has nothing to offer apart from a rapid montage that is supposed to cover up the defects."
