Urban Klausmann (born June 29, 1952 in Furtwangen ) is a former German soccer player and today's soccer coach.
Career
Klausmann started playing football at FC 07 Furtwangen , from where he moved to FC 08 Villingen . In 1974 he moved from FC 08 Villingen to Werder Bremen . Werder played in the Bundesliga and under coach Josef Piontek Klausmann made his debut on matchday 1 of the 1974/75 season in a 3-0 home defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt . After 18 months it was over for Klausmann at the Weser, he switched to the 2nd Bundesliga , in which he played the rest of his professional career. He joined SV Waldhof Mannheim , 1. SC Göttingen 05 , Schwarz-Weiß Essen , Rot-Weiss Essen and Freiburg FC . At the end of his career he worked as a player-coach at FC 07 Furtwangen and, with his 45 goals in the 1983/84 season, helped the club rise from the district league to the state league. In 1984 he acquired the A license as a trainer. He later coached FC Villingen 08.
