Uri Tzaig

Uri Tzaig (* 1965 in Kiryat Gat , Israel ) is an Israeli author , installation and video artist .

life and work

Uri Tzaig studied at the Jerusalem School of Visual Theater . He has taught at the University of Zurich , the San Francisco Art Institute , the Camera Obscura - The School of Arts and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, as well as at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Ramat Gan and at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam.

Uri Tzaig uses literature, installations, printed matter and videos as a means of expression . At documenta X he showed The Universal Square (1996), a film in which two soccer teams play with two balls.

Tzaig exhibited primarily in Europe, Japan, the United States and Israel. Among other things, he was a participant in Manifesta I in Rotterdam in 1996 and in the 48th Venice Biennale in 1997 .
