Urs "Enzo" Aeberhard (born February 18, 1971 in Zug ) is a former Swiss bobsleigh athlete who worked as a pusher. He took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics for Switzerland and won the overall World Cup together with Christian Reich in 2000.

Career

He discovered bobsleigh at the age of 23 in the Fredi Steinmann bobsleigh team and in 1997 won the silver medal in the two-man bobsleigh at the Swiss Championships. In 1998 he moved to Christian Reich as a pusher and took part in the 1999 European Championships . At this he won the silver medal. The following year he took part in the Bobsleigh World Championships in Altenberg and won bronze medals in both the two-man and four-man bobsleigh. In 2001 he managed to win the bronze medal in the four-man bobsleigh again. He started in the four-man bobsleigh at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City . The “Switzerland II” team consisting of Christian Reich, Guido Acklin, Steve Anderhub and himself took sixth place. After that he drove another season with Martin Annen .

Urs Aeberhard has been married to Katja Aeberhard since 2005 and has two children. His son followed in his footsteps and drives skeleton , while the daughter is active in gymnastics.
