Urs Zürcher (born September 5, 1963 in Steinhausen ) is a Swiss writer and historian .

Life

After completing an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk , Urs Zürcher studied history , philosophy and modern German literature at the University of Basel . He received his doctorate from the University of Zurich . Then he was a lecturer at the University of Basel and worked as a project manager and teacher. Zürcher lives in Basel .

  • 2014: Nomination for the shortlist of the Klaus-Michael Kühne Prize for the best novel debut of the year.
