Ursula Hasse b. Wauschkuhn (born May 20, 1925 in Heidenau ; † June 7, 2013 ) was a German artist . Her work is committed to realism and consists of oil paintings, watercolors, drawings and artistic ceramics.
Life
Ursula Hasse was born in Heidenau in 1925. After attending school, an apprenticeship as a cleaner took place in 1940-43 . She then began a second apprenticeship as a technical draftsman. This ended with the end of the war in 1945. This was followed by two years of work as a construction assistant until 1947 . In 1947 she began a short period of study at the Dresden University of Fine Arts (HfBK) with Wilhelm Rudolph . From 1949 to 1953 she again worked as a technical draftsman, subsequently continuing her studies (including with Herbert Schmidt-Walter ) at the HfBK until 1958. She then worked as a freelance artist, mainly in Saxon Switzerland around Bad Schandau . In 1980 she and her husband Christian Hasse set up a ceramic workshop in Kirnitzschtal . After her age-related withdrawal from the ceramic workshop in 2002, her daughter continues to run it.
Create
The artist was always committed to realism in her pictures. The representation of working people played an important role in her work from the very beginning, both in individual portraits and in work in agriculture. She was able to develop a style that enabled both large panoramic landscape images and figurative compositions. The basis for the oil painting were watercolors and drawings of the natural objects, which were later implemented in the studio. In addition to landscapes, many city views of Saxon cities as well as views of striking buildings were created.
In the ceramics workshop she created small, imaginative figures.
