Usnea Ridge is a 100 to 160 m high mountain ridge on Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It extends from Jane Peak in north-west to the Spindrift Col .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1991 after lichen of the genus Usnea , which biologists from the British Antarctic Survey had discovered here in large numbers.
