Uta Heinrich

Uta Heinrich (born August 7, 1951 in Erlangen ) is a German politician and lawyer . She was mayor of the city of Marl from 1999 to 2009 .

Life

Heinrich studied law in Göttingen from 1973 . After the two state examinations in 1979 and 1984, she practiced as a lawyer. From 1990 to 1999 she was managing director of the Westphalia-West retail association . From 1999 to 2009 she was mayor of the city of Marl. During her first term in office, she resigned from the party (CDU) and was re-elected without a party in 2004. In 2010 she opened a law firm in Marl. Her focus is civil law, in particular residential property law, inheritance and family law as well as general contract law.
