Ute Bönnen

Ute Bönnen (* 1957 in Leverkusen ) is a German journalist and documentary film director .

Life

Ute Bönnen graduated from high school in Leverkusen and studied journalism, history and Latin American studies at the Free University of Berlin . She has been working as a freelance journalist and documentary filmmaker since 1986. The focus of her work is on contemporary history topics. She makes most of the films together with Gerald Endres .

Ute Bönnen is married to Gerald Endres. The couple have two children, born in 1980 and 1983.
