Ute Badura
Ute Badura (* 1957 in Moers ) is a German film writer, camerawoman and director. Ute Badura is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie e. V. and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Dokumentarfilm .
Life
She completed her training in the camera department at the State College for Optics and Photo Technology in Berlin. From 1983 to 1991 Badura worked as a camera assistant in the documentary and feature film sector. In 1998, her first own feature documentary Kinderland ist abrannt , which she produced together with Sibylle Tiedemann , was nominated for the German Film Prize. In 2000 she founded the production company Badura Film. The production company often focuses on Silesia in its films . In 2008 she was the director of a section of the television documentary 24h Berlin - A Day in the Life . Since summer 2009 Ute Badura has been shooting the documentary film Houses of the Lord with the Society for Interregional Cultural Exchange on the history of Protestantism in Silesia, which premiered in Görlitz in September 2010. In 2012 Ute Badura was awarded the Silesian Culture Prize of Lower Saxony.
