Ute Scheffler

Ute Scheffler (born August 6, 1944 in Meiningen ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 1990 to 1994 she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Education and life

After graduating from high school, Ute Scheffler did an apprenticeship and then a master craftsman's degree. She completed her studies at the University of Industrial Design in Halle, Burg Giebichenstein as a graduate designer for ceramics. She built her own workshop in Halberstadt , where she had been working as a freelancer in the field of architecture-related ceramics since 1970.

Ute Scheffler is non-denominational, divorced and has a grown daughter.

Ute Scheffler was initially active in the New Forum after the fall of the Wall in August 1989 and then became a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. Since May 1990 she was a member of the district council. In the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990, she was elected to the state parliament via the state list of the Green List / New Forum (GL / NF). In the state parliament she was the deputy chairwoman of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group.
