The Utpostane (Norwegian for outpost ) are a group of bare rocky outcrops in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . They rise up on the south side of an ice ridge in the southern part of the Kraulberge in Maudheimvidda .
Norwegian scientists named them after their remoteness.
