Utta Stötzer

Utta Stötzer (born January 26, 1940 in Mährisch Schildberg , Hohenstadt district ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Career

Utta Stötzer graduated from high school in 1958 and became a chemical laboratory assistant . From 1962 she attended the engineering school for the textile industry. She later studied at the University of Economics in East Berlin , where she graduated in 1975 with a degree in economics. From 1982 to 1989 she worked at the "Rationalization and Research Center for Restaurants" in Berlin. Afterwards she was the managing director of a housing association .

In the course of the change in the GDR , Stötzer joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1989 . In the first free East Berlin election in May 1990 , she was elected to the Berlin city council. In the joint election in December 1990 , she was also elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which she belonged until 1999.
