Uwe Berndt

Uwe Berndt (born May 11, 1966 ) is a former German cyclist .

Athletic career

In 1985 Uwe Berndt, who started for the SG Wismut Gera , was third in the Greek Tour of Sacrifice , after having only won track races until then. Two years later, he finished third in the single pursuit at the GDR rail championships . He was able to win a title by winning the GDR winter railway championships in 1986 in the points run on the Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle track . In the spring of that year he won a stage in the Tour de l `Òire in France . Twice - in 1990 and 1991 - he was runner-up in the team time trial : 1990 with the GDR team ( Maik Landsmann , Uwe Peschel and Falk Boden ), and in 1991 with the German team ( Bernd Dittert , Michael Rich and Uwe Peschel). In 1992 he was third in the Berlin stage trip . He played the cycling Bundesliga in 1993 for SSV Gera.
