Uwe Detemple

Uwe Detemple , also Yves-Pierre Detemple , (* 1963 in Jimbolia , People's Republic of Romania , in the Romanian-Serbian-Hungarian triangle of the multicultural Banat and grew up in a family with French roots) is a German-speaking author , publicist and poet . He describes himself as a "Frenchman with a German mother tongue from Romania". Detemple publishes books on history, genealogy and poetry .

Life

Detemple publishes essays and reports, often with reference to the recent history of Romania , as well as translations from several languages ​​in periodicals, anthologies and genealogical journals. Detemple's genealogical work includes a treatise on the ancestors of the Nobel Prize winner Herta Müller in Romania and Hungary . His work has appeared in magazines in Germany, Romania, Serbia and Austria as well as in publications of the Banat Swabians . The poet published his poems in book form.

From 1988 to 1990 he worked as a freelancer for the Upper Franconian monthly magazine Stattzeitung Coburg. He is a member of the Association of Balkan Romance Artists , the Working Group of Donauschwäbischer Familienforscher and other genealogical associations. He lives and works in the Munich district, is married and has three children.
