Uwe Hahn (born July 1, 1954 in Bad Kreuznach) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In the summer of 1977 Hahn moved to SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2nd Bundesliga South . In his first season in paid football he was able to secure a regular place in the attacking midfield and had a share in the championship and promotion to the Bundesliga in 1977/78.

In the following Bundesliga season 1978/79, he remained a regular player and, as a hanging striker, became Darmstadt's best goalscorer with seven goals. The highlight was in November 1978 his goal of the month to make it 1-1 in the game at Bayern Munich .

After the immediate relegation, he lost his regular place due to long injury-related forced breaks and was only able to fight this back in the course of the 1980/81 season. In the summer of 1981 he was able to celebrate his second championship in the 2nd Bundesliga South and the renewed promotion to the Bundesliga with SV Darmstadt 98 . This time too, SV Darmstadt 98 had to return to second class after a year. Hahn lost his regular place after differences with coach Werner Olk and was only able to fight it back in the 1983/84 season.

In the summer of 1984 he did not receive a new contract in Darmstadt and then switched to VfR Bürstadt . Despite Hahn's strong season (32 games with 6 goals), the team had to be relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in the summer of 1985 . He then ended his career in paid football.

For SV Darmstadt 98, Hahn played 126 second division games (18 goals) and 57 Bundesliga games (10 goals) between 1977 and 1984 .
