Uwe Harden

Uwe Harden (born February 22, 1952 in Geesthacht ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He is married and has two children.

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Harden worked for the Federal Border Guard in Lüneburg for two years . He then studied Slavic Studies and Political Science in Göttingen and Hamburg. Since 1981 he has worked as a publisher and journalist.

politics

Harden has been a member of the SPD since 1971. Since 1976 he has been a councilor of the Elbmarsch community and was chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. He is currently acting as deputy parliamentary group leader. He is also a member of the Drage Municipality Council and has been mayor there since 1991. From 1986 to 1997 he was also a member of the district council of Harburg. Harden was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1994 to 2008. Since 2011, Harden has been a member of the district council of the Harburg district again , since then in the function of a deputy district administrator .

Uwe Harden is chairman of the citizens 'initiative against leukemia in the Elbmarsch and a member of the workers' welfare organization and the German Red Cross .
