Wilhelm Heidemann (born April 24, 1947 in Hanover ) is a German politician and former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

education and profession

After attending secondary school and business school, Heidemann trained as a farmer. He then completed training and further education as a savings bank economist. From 1969 until his election to the state parliament he worked for the Sparkasse Hannover .

politics

Heidemann has been councilor and mayor of the village of Schneeren and councilor of the community of Schneeren since 1972 . In 1978 he joined the CDU . Since 1991 he has been councilor of Neustadt am Rübenberge , including from 1996 to 2001 as mayor. In addition, since 1994 he has been a member of the district council of the Hanover district and the regional assembly of the Hanover region that was newly formed in 2002 . Since 2003 he has also been a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament. In the 2008 state elections, he was directly elected to the state parliament in the Neustadt / Wunstorf constituency.
