Uwe Hermsdorf

Uwe Hermsdorf (born May 21, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player. For Chemie Böhlen he played in 1978 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

At the age of 18, Uwe Hermsdorf played his first two point games for Chemie Böhlen in the second-rate GDR league in the 1975/76 season . In November 1976 he was drafted into the National People's Army for 18 months . During this time he played with the 2nd team of the Army Sports Association (ASG) Vorwärts Plauen in the third-class district league Karl-Marx-Stadt . After completing his military service, he returned to BSG Chemie Böhlen in May 1978, which had meanwhile been promoted to the league. Already on May 13th he was used as a substitute in the top division Dynamo Dresden - Chemie Böhlen (7: 1). There were no more appearances in the league. For the 1978/79 season Hermsdorf was nominated as a midfielder for the junior league team and was not used in the 1st team's point games. His last point game for the 1st team of Chemistry Bohlen completed Hermsdorf in the GDR league season 1979/80, where it remained in this one use. After that he no longer appeared in the GDR-wide league operation.
