Uwe Hoffmann (musician)

Uwe Hoffmann (born September 20, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German musician and music producer .

Uwe Hoffmann played drums in the Berlin band La Loora from 1981 to 1985 and then with The Other Ones . In 1982 he founded the Prussian recording studio in Berlin, where he produced a large part of the music for Die Ärzte , beginning in 1988 with the single Radio brennt . In 1989 Farin Urlaub won him over for the band King Køng , in which Hoffmann played drums until 1992.

He also produced the 1989 album February by the band Silly from the former GDR. It was the first co-production of the only GDR record label for popular music, Amiga , with a West German record company.

Uwe Hoffmann has been running the Casapepe Studio in Xàbia, Spain, since 1997, where he produced, among others, the 12 Apostles , Die Ärzte, Sportfreunde Stiller , Terrorgruppe , Familie Schlegl and the Donots .
