Tobias Schlegl (born September 30, 1977 in Cologne ), also Tobi Schlegl , is a German musician , author , paramedic and former radio and television presenter .

Life

At the age of 13 Tobias Schlegl worked as a magician in the Magic Circle Germany . In 1993 he founded his first own band Eis am Stiel, whose music was very much influenced by the band Die Ärzte .

He is the father of a daughter. Since December 23, 2007 Tobias Schlegl has been a member of the globalization-critical network Attac .

Career

In 1995 he was selected from 4,000 applicants as the new moderator for VIVA Interaktiv and two years later he graduated from the Liebfrauenschule in Cologne . At this time he also took part in the recordings of Noble Savages .

From January 1998 he was seen in his first own live show kEwL . kEwL was then replaced by Schlegl in May 2000 . In this broadcast with a live audience, he commented on current events and had guests such as Hans-Dietrich Genscher , Die Ärzte , Robin Williams and Herbert Grönemeyer . In July 2016 Schlegl announced that he would retire from his television work and become an emergency paramedic in order to do something “socially relevant”.
