Uwe Liebehenschel (born April 24, 1971 in East Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Brandenburg state parliament between 2015 and 2019 .

biography

After graduating from high school in Bernau and doing military service in the National People's Army, Uwe Liebehenschel studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin from 1990 to 1996 . Since then, with a short interruption, he has been the managing partner of a metal construction company.

politics

After the fall of the Berlin Wall , Liebehenschel took over the position of head of the Niederbarnimer Water and Wastewater Association (NWA), which had just been founded, from 1992 to 1995 .

Uwe Liebehenschel was a member of the municipal council in Basdorf for his party from 1998 to 2003 . Since the formation of the Wandlitz community in 2003, he has been a member of the community council and has been its chairman since 2012. He has held a mandate in the district council of the Barnim district since 2008. From 2011 to 2015 he was district chairman of the CDU Barnim. In June 2015, he replaced Ludwig Burkardt in the Brandenburg state parliament , where he was a member of the budget control committee.
