Uwe Schwarz (born March 30, 1957 in Hildesheim ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He is married and has one child.

education and profession

After attending elementary school in Bad Gandersheim , Schwarz went to business school in Einbeck and trained as a social security clerk specializing in health insurance. After the 2nd administrative examination, he was group leader and IT liaison at the AOK Nordharz and chairman of the staff council until his election to the state parliament .

politics

Schwarz has been a member of the SPD since 1973. He is chairman of the Northeim-Einbeck sub-district and member of the board of the SPD district of Hanover. From 1981 to 2005 he was councilor of the city of Bad Gandersheim. From 1986 to 1991 and from 1996 to 2001 he was the mayor there, then deputy mayor. He has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 1986. He is a board member of the SPD parliamentary group and chairman of the working group for social affairs, women, family and health. Schwarz is a member of ver.di , the workers' welfare organization and several associations, e.g. B. the local volunteer fire department .

For the Lower Saxony state election in 2008, Uwe Schwarz was appointed to the shadow cabinet of the SPD's top candidate Wolfgang Jüttner for the health and social affairs area. On January 27, 2008, Schwarz prevailed with 42.1 percent of the first votes in the Einbeck constituency against the CDU candidate Joachim Stünkel with 40.8 percent.
