Uxbridge and South Ruislip is a constituency in London for the British House of Commons . The constituency was created for the 2010 British General Election in its current form and is located in the London Borough of Hillingdon in west London. The area within the constituency includes Uxbridge , parts of Hillingdon and the area of Brunel University . He sends a representative to parliament.

history

The constituency was created out of the former constituencies of Uxbridge and Ruislip-Northwood and has been represented in Parliament since the 2015 British general election by Boris Johnson , who has served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since July 2019 and before that as Mayor of London . Uxbridge and South Ruislip was previously represented by John Randall .

In April 2013 the constituency had an unemployment rate of only 2.5%, which is significantly lower than the national average of 3.8%.
