Václav František Kocmánek

Václav František Kocmánek (* 1607 in Prague ; † 1679 there ) was a Czech poet, writer and historian.

Life

After the Battle of White Mountain , Kocmánek did not want to leave Bohemia and therefore converted to Catholicism . The educated Prague citizen taught his whole life as a cantor in Prague.

In addition to poems about the difficult life in the villages, from which it can be seen that it was precisely these villages who suffered most from the wars, he also wrote a total of seven interludes .
