The Pietros , also Vârful Pietrosul , is the highest mountain (2303 m) in the Rodna Mountains and the Eastern Carpathians . It is located in the Romanian Maramureş district near the towns of Borşa and Moisei . The Pietrosu Mare is under nature protection and is part of the Rodna Mountains National Park .
