Vårberg is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Vårberg district of the same name . The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 6,000 commuters get on and off here.

The station was put into operation on December 2, 1967 as the 68th station of the Tunnelbana, when the section of the Röda linjen between Skärholmen and Vårberg was inaugurated. Until October 1, 1972, it was also the terminus of the T13 line, from then on the trains drove over the newly built section to the Fittja station . The platforms are above ground in the cut. The station is located between the Skärholmen and Vårby gård stations . It is around 10.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
