Victor Cabedo
Víctor Cabedo Carda (born June 15, 1989 in Onda , † September 19, 2012 in Almedíjar , province of Castellón ) was a Spanish road cyclist .
Career
Víctor Cabedo was the 2005 Spanish junior cyclocross champion . In the 2006 season he won a stage at the Vuelta al Besaya in the junior class. In the next year he won the overall ranking of the Vuelta Ciclista Vegas de Granada. At the Vuelta al Besaya he won two stages and the overall standings. In 2009 Cabedo was successful in a section of the Vuelta a Palencia and in 2010 he won the Memorial Valenciaga. In 2011 he drove for the Spanish youth team Orbea Continental and won a stage at the Vuelta a Asturias . In 2012 he moved to ProTeam Euskaltel-Euskadi .
On September 19, 2012, Cabedo had a fatal accident when he was hit by a car while training on a country road between Almedíjar and Aín in the province of Castellón.
