Víctor García (director)

Víctor García (born December 4, 1974 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish film and television director who is particularly active in the field of horror films .

Life

García initially worked in the field of special effects in the film business. In this context he was a. a. Involved in the films Dagon (2001), Talk to Her (2002) and Hellboy (2004). In 2003 he made his first film project, El ciclo , a short film. With this film, he won awards at several film festivals and ultimately drew some attention from the US film industry.

Subsequent film projects failed and it wasn't until 2007 that García's first feature-length film followed with Haunted Hill - The Return to the House of Horrors . It is the direct-to-video sequel to Haunted Hill from 1999. In 2010, Mirrors 2 , a sequel to Mirrors (2008), and the television production Arctic Predator - The White Death followed .

García stayed true to the horror genre and in 2011 shot Hellraiser: Revelations, the ninth part of the Hellraiser film series. In 2013 he realized Gallows Hill , in 2019 he followed his last film project An Affair to Die For .
