The Libehna Monument to the Battle of the Nations is a memorial stone in the town of Southern Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt . The small monument is under monument protection and is entered in the monument register with registration number 094 70621 as a monument .

Location and shape

The memorial for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig is located on a small square formed by Mühlenstrasse and Köthener Strasse in the east of Libehna . Like most memorial stones of this type, the small monument does not name any names, only the date of the battle itself ( October 18, 1813 - 1913 ). Above it is a cross in a circle, presumably representing an iron cross . The vertical stone is surrounded by smaller stones. Due to their simplicity, some of these memorial stones are questioned as monuments. Since they do not name any dead, they are part of the border area of war memorials .
