The VR-Bank Mainz eG was a bank in Rhineland-Palatinate . The bank merged with Volksbank Alzey-Worms eG in 2014 . Since that time it has been continued as a branch of Volksbank Alzey-Worms eG.

history

VR-Bank Mainz was founded in 1895 by 43 citizens of the then independent municipality of Gonsenheim under the name "Spar- und Kreditverein zu Gonsenheim eGmuH". In 1921 the "Spar- und Kreditverein zu Gonsenheim eGmuH" became the "Volksbank zu Gonsenheim eG". Over the years it became the Volksbank Gonsenheim. In 1970 the merger with the savings and loan fund Ober-Olm took place. This enabled the business area to be expanded significantly to the south. In 1998, in the course of the merger of Volksbank Gonsenheim with Raiffeisenbank Heidesheim, the bank was given its current name VR-Bank Mainz eG. In 1999 the Volksbank Mainz-Finthen was added to the VR-Bank Mainz as the last institute to date.

Offices

In addition to the main office in Mainz-Gonsenheim, VR-Bank Mainz eG also had offices in Mainz (near the university), Finthen , Ober-Olm , Wackernheim and Heidesheim , as well as four other self-service points. An office in nearby Mainz-Mombach was given up again.
