The association for sport and body care Osterholz-Scharmbeck from 1848 e. V. ( VSK OHZ for short ) is a sports club with the specialist departments of gymnastics , athletics , handball etc. and football in Osterholz-Scharmbeck . The club's colors are green and white.
history
The club emerged from the merger of the Scharmbecker-Osterholzer Turnverein from 1848 , the gymnastics club “Gut Heil” Osterholz from 1881 , the pyramid club Osterholz “Frisch auf” from 1896 and the workers gymnastics and sports club Osterholz-Scharmbeck from 1906 . FV "Preußen 09" brought the football roots of the club .
The football club Prussia 09 was renamed in the 1930s first in Sportverein Preußen 09 Osterholz-Scharmbeck and later in Spielvereinigung Osterholz-Scharmbeck, formerly Prussia 09 . After the dissolution of the association at the end of the Second World War, it was re-established on September 30, 1945 as an association for sports and body care Osterholz-Scharmbeck .
Soccer
The VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck usually plays in lower amateur leagues. After the football division had made its way from the district league to the upper league in just five years, it played in the upper league north from the 2006/07 season . Until 2012, the VSK belonged to the fifth-class Oberliga Niedersachsen , before the club voluntarily withdrew to the Landesliga Lüneburg . The VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck was trained by Günter Hermann until 2014 , and since then by Dominic Voglsinger. A partnership is maintained with Werder Bremen. The VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck plays its home games in the municipal sports facility at the Waldstadion. In May 2008 the city council decided to build a new stadium . During the construction work, the home games of the VSK took place on the sports facility "Im Hof" of SV Komet in the Osterholz-Scharmbeck district of Pennigbüttel . The new stadium was officially inaugurated on May 25, 2010 as part of a test match against Bundesliga club Werder Bremen .
