Vaisei is a village in the Kingdom of Sigave , which belongs to France as part of the French overseas territory of Wallis and Futuna .

location

The village is located in the west of the island of Futuna , which belongs to the Horn Islands in the Pacific Ocean . North of Vaisei is Fiua , south closes Nuku on. Vaisei is located on only one road along the coast of the island, the interior of the island is not populated.

population

Today Vaisei has 159 inhabitants as of 2013. In 2008 there were 196 inhabitants. Vaisei is thus also following the negative trend in the population of Wallis and Futuna.
