The Val Bisagno is a valley near the northern Italian port city of Genoa . The valley takes its name from the Torrent River Bisagno , which, together with the Polcevera, is one of the two main watercourses in the metropolitan city of Genoa . The Bisagno flows into the Ligurian Sea near the Genoese district of Foce . The two rivers, the Bisagno and the Polcevera, delimit the historic city center of Genoa in the Levante (south-east) and in the Ponente (west).

The Val Bisagno, whose image was once determined by numerous factories, is now a valley largely characterized by residential areas. In it lie the municipalities III and IV of Genoa.
