The Valahnúkur is a volcanic mountain in the Þórsmörk nature reserve in southern Iceland .
location
It is located on the north side of the Krossá river and west of the Langidalur / Skagfjörðsskáli hut .
geology
The cone dates from the last ice age and may have been created entirely under water, as its open pillow lava testifies.
Hiking on the Valahnúkur
From the hut you can go up to the panoramic mountain.
