Valentin Areh

Valentin Areh (born August 22, 1971 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian war reporter and international correspondent.

After studying history, Areh turned to journalism . He worked u. a. for the Slovenian-American news channel 24ur , the Italian Italia Uno and for the news agency Associated Press Television News (APTN). He was a soldier in the war in Slovenia (1991). During the war he worked in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1991–1995). This was followed by positions on the Arabian Peninsula (1995–1998), Kosovo (1998–1999), Chechnya (2000), Macedonia (2001), Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003).
