Valentin Crețu (born January 2, 1989 in Buzău ) is a Romanian football player on the position of right back. He has been playing for Gaz Metan Mediaș since the beginning of 2018 .

Career

Cretu started playing football at CSM Râmnicu Sarat. After a stay with Gloria Buzau, he came to CS Concordia Chiajna in 2009 on a free transfer . From there he was loaned to Rapid Bucharest in the summer of 2011 , where he played a few games. After brief guest appearances at Beroe Stara Sagora and AFC Săgeata Năvodari , he moved back to Concordia Chiajna in 2013, which gave him to Gaz Metan Mediaș in 2014 . In January 2016, FC Energie Cottbus signed Crețu. He received a contract valid until 2018. After relegation to the third division with Energie Cottbus, Crețu moved back to Gaz Metan. After one season, he was drawn to league rival ACS Poli Timișoara in the summer of 2017 . After only six months he returned to Gaz Metan again.
