Valerian treasure trove

The Valerian Fundgrube was a mine mainly on silver on the Hinteren Rabenberg in the mining district Johanngeorgenstadt in the western Erzgebirge on the corridor of today's municipality of Breitenbrunn / Erzgeb.

The 18th century muted mine was in 1818 together with the Dorothea mine , Regina mine and dimensions, the Easter joy mine and Charles treasure trove of the Johann George townspeople shift supervisors Gottlob Traugott Gündel (1775-1843) awarded . From then on, this mining company only bore the name Valerian Fundgrube .

In 1884/8 the hat house of the Valerian treasure trove was demolished. After the Second World War, Wismut AG overhauled the old mine workings and operated the 336 shaft management here .
