Valerijonas Kubilius
Valerijonas Kubilius (born October 27, 1939 in Šerkšniai , Skuodas Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
After graduating from Mosėdis Middle School , he studied at the Agricultural Technical Center in Rietavas from 1955 to 1959 . From 1960 to 1963 he served in the Soviet Army. From 1966 to 1970 he studied at the party college in Vilnius . From 1970 to 1978 he was head of the Lietuvos komunistų partija and first secretary in Skuodas . From 2000 to 2009 he was the mayor of the Kretinga district .
From 1981 he was a member of the LKP, from 1990 of Lietuvos democinė darbo partija , from 2001 of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
He is married. With his wife Eugenija he has the children Artūras and Giedrius.
