Valeriu Căpățână (born September 18, 1970 in Kishinev , Soviet Union ) is a former Moldovan national soccer player .

Career

The career of Căpățână began in 1987 with Nistru Kishinev in the Soviet third division. In 1988 he rose to the second division with the club. After half a year with Tigina Bendery , he returned to Kishinev in mid-1991, before moving to FC Sényő in Hungary in early 1992. There he played with a six-month hiatus until the end of 1995. He joined Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC , where he ended his career in 1999.

National team

Căpățână played his first international match in a friendly on July 2, 1991 against the selection of Georgia. Căpățână was substituted off at half time. Between 1991 and 1994 Căpățână played 4 international matches.
