Tricia Anne Sullivan (born July 7, 1968 in New Jersey , USA ) is an American science fiction and fantasy writer. She publishes her fantasy novels under the pseudonym Valery Leith .

She has lived in Great Britain since 1995 . In 1999 she received the Arthur C. Clarke Award for her novel Dreaming in Smoke .
