Van Langen is a German music project that was founded in Munich in 1994 . Front man Marcus van Langen appears solo as a minstrel or acoustically with a band. In addition, the side project Des Teufels Decoys has existed since 1999 , which can be assigned to medieval rock .
style
Starting with rock Irish folk, the musical traditions of Central Europe found their way into the band's music. Over time, a symbiosis of medieval instrumentation and hard electronic sounds developed in different line-ups. In addition to the electric guitar, bass and drums, other instruments mainly of medieval origin play a role at van Langen: bagpipes, shawm , harp , cister . The van Langen set includes songs from the Middle Ages as well as their own titles.
